Common problems

Resolve frequent NoteCore situations, such as an unavailable workspace, a denied query, or a slow notebook.

When to use this

  • Use it when something is blocking your work in NoteCore.
  • Use it before contacting support or your administrator.
  • Use it to tell a workspace problem apart from a data access problem.

Before you start

  • Note the message shown on screen.
  • Note the name of the workspace or notebook affected.
  • Confirm whether other users have the same problem.

Step by step

  1. If the workspace does not open, wait a moment and try again.
  2. If the notebook is slow, reduce the data volume and close unnecessary runs.
  3. If the query is denied, review your access to the data.
  4. If files seem to be missing, confirm you are in the right folder and workspace.
  5. If the problem persists, record the time, the action taken, and the message shown.
  6. Contact your administrator with that information.

What happens next

  • The administrator can tell an access problem from a workspace or availability problem.
  • Restart or adjustment actions can be followed through the Console.
  • Recurring incidents can indicate a need to review how it is being used.

Common errors

  • Restarting repeatedly without saving your work.
  • Requesting data access when the problem was syntax or a filter.
  • Contacting support with no message or time.

Good practice

  • Run small tests to isolate the problem.
  • Keep the error messages.
  • Document recurring failure patterns.
