Projects & search

In the web chat, conversations pile up fast. Projects are folders that organize them, and global search (⌘/Ctrl+K) finds any conversation by title or content.

A project here ≠ a project in the Desktop app

In the Desktop app, a project is a folder on your disk where the agent works. In the web chat, a project is a folder that organizes conversations — there is no workspace on your computer. See Local execution.

Create a project

  1. In the Projects section of the sidebar, click +.
  2. Give it a name (up to 60 characters) and, optionally, a description (up to 280 characters).
  3. Click Create.

The project appears in the list with the number of conversations it holds.

Put conversations into a project

Three ways:

  • Drag and drop — drag the conversation from the list onto a project (or onto No project, to take it out).
  • Conversation menu — in the conversation's ⋯, use Move to project and pick the destination; Remove from project returns it to No project.
  • Create it there — click a project to open its view and use the New chat button in the "In <project>" header.

When a conversation belongs to a project, the project name appears as a chip next to the title at the top of the screen.

Filter by a project's view

Click a project to see only its conversations; click again to go back to the full list. The No project entry filters conversations that haven't been organized yet.

Rename, archive, and delete projects

Each project's ⋯ menu offers:

ActionWhat happens
RenameChanges the name and description.
Archive / RestoreGets the project out of the way without losing anything.
Delete projectDeletes only the folder. Conversations and files are not deleted — they return to No project.

Conversation actions

Each conversation's ⋯ menu gathers everything you can do with it:

ActionWhat happens
RenameReplaces the automatic title with your own.
Move to projectSends the conversation to a folder (or to No project).
Pin / UnpinPinned conversations always stay at the top of the list, with a pin icon.
Archive / RestoreDisappears from recent conversations without being deleted.
DuplicateCreates a copy of the conversation and opens it.
DeleteDeletes the conversation and its messages. Cannot be undone.

Open search with ⌘+K (macOS) / Ctrl+K (Windows and Linux), or the Search button in the sidebar.

  • Type any term: search sweeps all your conversations — titles and message content.
  • Each result shows the title, a snippet with the term highlighted, and a context line: the project, whether the conversation is archived, and whether it has files.
  • Move with ↑ / ↓ and open with Enter; Esc closes.
Search reaches what the list hides

Archived conversations don't show in the sidebar, but search still finds them — archiving gets things out of the way, it doesn't hide them forever.
