Models
The agent thinks with an AI model. Imaginne abstracts the provider behind names of its own from the [N]umbers family, so that swapping the engine doesn't change your experience.
The product's two models

nnumbers-code | The model specialized in development: reading and editing code, reviewing diffs, writing scripts and tests, and debugging. |
Most of the time you use nnumbers. nnumbers-code shines when the work is writing, reviewing, and fixing code.
Automatic selection
Imaginne also offers an automatic mode: on each turn, it chooses between nnumbers and nnumbers-code based on the task. You don't have to decide manually — but you can, whenever you want, pin a model with the picker (see below).
The Imaginne product exposes only nnumbers and nnumbers-code. The real names and identifiers of the providers and models behind them are abstracted away — the engine can evolve without changing your experience, which is why the documentation uses only the [N]umbers names.
Imaginne generates images from prompts. Image generation is a product capability, not a model you select in the picker. See Files & artifacts.
Who decides what shows up in your picker
The models available to you depend on your organization's policy:
- The model picker (in the Desktop and the TUI) is filtered to the models your profile allows.
- The organization can enable additional models — including paid vendor models via BYOK (the key belongs to the organization, not to you).
- The browser chat and the VS Code extension have no model picker: they use the model set by your organization.
Switching models
